Gonna add one or two of these two a 2 lb Chuck roast and follow the directions of a birria bomb. I think it's 2 cups of water or something and low for 7 hours. Any thoughts?

Thoughts? Yes – report back, whatever you do with it! Now I have to find this!

Saw those at HEB the other day and I’m extremely interested in finding out if they’re any good. My roommate is a 6th generation Texan of Mexican descent so I expect him to judge this pretty hard lol.

Yes, but I would hold some of the seasoning back and add it at most 30 min. before serving. IME, long cook times blunt the potency of many spices, and this doesn’t appear designed for slow cooking.
Just spit-balling here, but for one packet, I’d hold back about 1/3 to 1/2 of it.

I would only use one packet for 2 lbs . It’s pretty strong and over powering. You can add more seasoning if needed. The art work is pretty catchy .

For best results, seer the roast in a pan first (both sides).
2 cups of water is probably too much. For 2lbs, 1/2 – 3/4 cup of water is enough. As the fat breaks down during cooking, that’s all the “broth” it really needs.

You’re asking if adding spices to a slow cooker will work? I think it will work.
