Greetings pasta lovers!

Tonight, another quick recipe. With fusilli from Pastazara.

Since we had a piece of broccoli that was already cooked in salted water, left over from lunch, we decided to make a small meal around it.

It is just a variation on a similar italian recipe, one can also add fresh salsiccia inside. It all works!

Condensed version of the recipe goes like this.

Pot, moderate heat, a bit of olive oil, chopped/sliced shallot and garlic, give it a few minutes but don't burn it, add the water, bring it to a boil, add the pasta, add salt, cook it al dente, add the tomatoes and the cooked broccoli. Take it off heat, let ot cool down a bit, add the grated grana padano. Add a bit of olive oil if needed. Check for salt and black pepper.

And there you have it! A simple and delicious italian inspired meal.

See you in our next post here, pasta loving friends!😉🍝🌲🌲🌲

I have a question about this recipe. From the way it’s written it sounds like you made everything in one pot. Is that what you did? I love learning new things. I normally cook my pasta separate. Do you drain the pasta at any point? If no please provide tips for figuring out how much water to add as I normally boil my pasta in a lot of water. TY!! * edited for spelling and grammar
