Made myself a treat for my 29th. Haven't made a steak in years and first time cooking in a stainless steel pan. Was aiming for medium and I think I did a good job!
1 pound ribeye dry brined for 20 hours and then seared and butter basted with garlic, shallots, and thyme.
Lemon zest and walnut roasted broccolini. Herb and garlic smashed potatoes.
Bonus dessert picture.
Been creeping this subreddit for a month preparing for this meal. Shoutout to u/recipeswithjay for the ribeye in a stainless steel pan video which I watched probably 20 times.

Perhaps. However it is just the beginning of your thirties.
Looks awesome brother
Don’t worry dude you’ll make more money in your thirties and get to buy way better steak, I know from experience
Buy a wire rack. $5
That beauty of a cat steak with Elijah Fuckin Craig?! Blasphemous
Good shit. If this is your first steak in years the coming steaks in your thirties will be 👌🏾
It’s not so bad here on the other side!
Great way to cope!
Cheers 🫡
Yep its all down hill from here 😆
Looks amazing
Good job buddy, 29 here as well. Always going to be older folks who tell us we have nothing to worry about and that we are young and that’s what grounds me in the present to enjoy it fully. great sear as well!
That’s a genius makeshift wire rack!
Looks great!
Good Job kid. Well done… 👏
For a sec I thought you skewered the shit outta that steak
Well done sir! Happy birthday.
Maybe give Wild Turkey a try for an inexpensive rye heavy bourbon that’s still solid. My personal favorite in that price range.
Gorgeous plate! I love the combination of vegetables. It looks like you seasoned everything perfectly. That steak looks absolutely delicious. Keep up the good work.
Leaving your twenties will be the nightmare of your life! Pus will run from your eyes and you will shit blood. Get real.
