  1. Halter Ranch Vineyard Paso Robles Grenache 2019

Purple in color with a wide purplish rim.

Fruity nose of red and blue fruits with chocolate notes, light tobacco, wild flowers and spices.

Medium plus in body with medium acidity and fat legs.

Dry on the palate with sweet raspberries, cherries, plums, blueberries, dark chocolates, spices, coffee, herbs and peppercorn.

Tangy finish with fine grained tannins and tangy cranberries.

This 6 year old Grenache from Paso Robles is drinking very nicely now. Well balanced with nice complexity and mouthfeel.

Fruit forward and juicy. A great substitute for Pinot Noir.

Peaking now, and will continue to drink nicely in the next few years.

Good right out of the bottle, and better after 30 minutes of airtime, when the tannins show up and bring more structure. After 90 minutes of airtime, more earth notes show up.

I had this vintage 3 years ago, and it is drinking better now.

Good by itself as a sipping wine, and will also pair nicely with food. I had it by the pool and paired it with cheeses and crackers.

100% Grenache grapes were aged in concrete vessels for 16 months. A small production of less than 4,000 bottles.

    14.2% alcohol by volume.

    91 points.

    $50 (at release).
