Ingredients:
• 250g chickpea lentil, soaked for an hour (چنا دال)
• ½ kg meat (گوشت)
• 1 large-sized onion (پیاز)
• 3 tbsp ginger, garlic and green chili paste (ادرک لہسن اور ہری مرچ پیسٹ)
• 2 medium-sized tomatoes (ٹماٹر)
• Thinly sliced ginger (ادرک)
• Chopped green chilies (ہری مرچیں)
• ½ cup fresh coriander (دھنیا)
• ½ cup cooking oil (آئل)
• 1 tsp salt (نمک)
• ½ tsp red pepper powder (لال مرچ پاوڈر)
• ½ tsp turmeric powder (ہلدی پاوڈر)
• ½ tsp cumin powder (زیرہ پاوڈر)
• ½ tsp dried coriander powder (خشک دھنیا پاوڈر)
• ½ tsp black pepper powder (کالی مرچ پاوڈر)
• ½ tsp powdered whole spices (گرم مصالہ پاوڈر)
Recipe:
1. In a pan, add meat, onion, ginger, garlic, chili paste, tomatoes, and all the powdered spices.
2. Add cooking oil and mix them together. Cook until the oil separates.
3. Add 2 cups of water and let it boil. Then, cover the pan and cook on low flame for 40 minutes.
4. To boil the lentil, take 1.5 cups of water in a pan. Add in chickpea lentils and cook until it boils. Then, cover the pan and cook on medium flame until it’s 90% done.
5. After 40 minutes, add black pepper powder and powdered whole spices to the meat.
6. Now add boiled lentils, sliced ginger, green chilies, and fresh coriander.
7. Cover the pan and cook for 5 minutes on low flame.
8. Turn off the flame.
9. Meat with chickpea lentil curry is ready to be served. Enjoy!
