  1. 1. Extra hot habanero: a nice sweetness from the tomatoes and a great and unique habanero flavor with good heat and spices, perfectly balanced.
    2. Green habanero: fresher flavor, habanero in focus with supporting spices, honestly just as good as the extra hot, but different.
    3. Salsa negra: INTENSE, charcoal up front, wood fire, bitterness, black cavendish pipe tobacco, ash, the habanero is burnt beyond recognition. I like this more than i should given the flavors, it’s so unique and bold and maybe a little cancerous, but definitely flavorful.
    4. Caribbean: the carrot is prominent and so are the spices, chili is more subdued, nicely balanced although I wouldn’t put this on everything, tastes a bit like Marie sharps but still in the yucateco style.
5.habanero & coffee: straight espresso, sweet, barely any chili flavor or heat, bitter, taste of cow barn. This is coffee up front and nothing else, some adjacent flavors created by the bean, prominently sweet.
I honestly don’t know what this would be good on besides vanilla ice cream and hot brownies, it’s more of a sweet espresso sauce than a hot sauce to be honest.
    6. habanero & ghost: coriander seed and acid up front, barely and chili flavor because of extract, lots of heat with little flavor, disappointing.
    7. habanero & chiltepin: weirdly chemical, acidic, again very little chili flavor. Just bad.
    8. Grilled pineapple: this is mostly water and ~ 5% actual ingredients but it’s nonetheless the worst hot sauce or sauce I have ever tasted. Sweet and chemically, artificial taste, pineapple is almost unrecognizable, again no actual chili taste. Just wow at how bad this is.

I love the extra hot and green so I wanted to try the rest of the selection, omitting the ones i don’t care for.

I am shocked at how bad the last four are but I can see why: only around five percent of these sauces is the actual chili while the rest is filler or artificial flavorings.
The top four contain at least 28% habanero and up to 40% for the extra hot and negra.
If they just stuck to this formula and added actual ingredients then these bottom four might have been great, but aside from the coffee one they are borderline inedible.

I’ve heard mixed opinions on a lot of these sauces and my expectations weren’t high, but damn.
