I planned to make chicken soup with a whole chicken but Aldi was sold out of whole chickens. The chicken legs were even more affordable at less than $1.25/lb for the family pack. The whole recipe made ~6 generous servings and cost approximately $3 for the whole pot!
Ingredients not listed yet important for flavor include simmering the veg and chicken with thyme and bay leaves (s & p of course), then seasoning with soy sauce and juice from a lemon before serving. I added the half and half at the end as well.
Pics of the soup, ingredients of caloric significance, and my macros for dinner tonight.
If you make it lemme know how it turns out!
p.s. I'm in a few calorie groups and this one is my favorite. Love you guys!
