I keep my grill covered mostly, I do clean it too.

Why would the bottom rust so bad? Florida humidity? Not good quality?

It’s only 4 years old…

Looks more like water could be pooling on the flat shelf that holds the castor wheels. I don’t have this grill (kettle for me), so I don’t know if there is a drain hole inside where the tank goes. Even if there was, it seems like a design flaw. If the grill wasn’t perfectly level, water could pool on that shelf around the base where you are seeing corrosion. Even with a cover, high humidity and large temp drops overnight could cause moisture to build under the cover. All of the above is speculation. Send Pic to Weber and test out their customer service.

Notorious for doing that. Easy to repair, parts aren’t “cheap” but still cheaper than buying a new grill.

I’d say repair.. I’ve never seen this before. My spirit stays out in the open.

We have humidity here that I personally feel is worse than Florida. I’m in the Smokey mountains and it’s bad around here.

That grill box itself will last 100 years.
