OMG! I get this all the time. I love spicy food. Like, I can eat FIRE! But when I order my Thai, Mexican, Chinese, etc food extra spicy, it never is! Funny story: I once ordered the vindaloo in an Indian place and the waiter says how spicy? I say it’s vindaloo, it’s need to be very spicy! That waiter looked at my husband and asks “is it ok for her to have spicy?”
Like… EXCUSE ME? Not only are you a spice racist, but now you’re gonna ask my HUSBAND if it’s ok?!?
