As the title says I made my very first cake, with the help of my mom ofc, it was pretty fun, and quick, I hope to make more baked goods in the future, what made me want to start baking was this subreddit, I love seeing all the bakes goods here even if I personally might not like all of them. I just really enjoy scrolling this community lol.

I like scrolling this sub too but then Iโm hungry. ๐ Looks like your cake turned out very even. First cakes are often lopsided. Good job!
All bakers start from somewhere! Highly recommend King Arthur or Sallyโs baking addiction recipes. 100% amazing and loved by this reddit community

You did a great job on the frosting!
It is a good idea to get some practice in on the basics before committing to bring a cake to a family function. Because just as much admiration and praise someone gets for bringing the center piece for dessert that is well done, it is directly proportional to the jeers and applied nickname you will get if it is done wrong.
The Cake can bringith, and the Cake can taketh away. She is a cruel.
Nice work on that one! If you enjoyed it, there are always great new recipes to try out.
If there’s an exciting pastry you want to make, but the recipe might too difficult, a good way to go about it is to find recipes that have some similar techniques in them but are simpler. That lets you expand one skill at a time before making it complex. For example, learning how to make whipped cream and meringue before you try to make a Swiss roll cake makes it a lot easier than trying to make the cake before either of those.
Don’t get discouraged if you try something new and end up having to throw it away because it didn’t work out quite right. Just find out what caused the problem and learn from it, and then the wasted ingredients have paid for themselves!
Awesome
Thatโs amazing! Very cool.

I like the cat plate.
