The conveyor belt sushi restaurants in coastal areas are of a high standard.

    Where in Kanazawa?

And I didn’t know that the Sushi-Go-Round was back in play? Last time we were at the market, they had closed down the SGR, probably because there were so many tourists they couldn’t trust they wouldn’t screw it up. AND, because of the “sushi terrorists” I am sure.

Will be back there in March so curious.

BTW, there is a yakitori place off the main highway that doesn’t mind gaijin customers. I can’t find it on Apple Maps but it is near Takaji Korimbo on the north side… Excellent yakitori.

I wish people would post the names of the shops more with pictures.

Agreed about coastal areas; had some really good sushi at the Kura in Marugame when I was there last year. Not Michelin level or anything, but very good and fresh fish, and being a few hundred meters away from Seto Naikai at least added to the vibe, if not the freshness.
