Family owned grocery store in the Bay Area Peninsula.
Thoughts? Suggestions? Any notable regions/categories I’m missing?
Pardon the quad faced bottom shelf, I’m on the hunt for my next favorite cheap Italian bottle.
Cheers!

The No Name definitely punches above its weight. Really solid barolo for the $45 on the shelf

Honestly this is a great selection and a high majority of what I can recognize as natural producers. My main suggestion is to buy the COENOBIUM! Made by Trappist monks in Lazio. Weird, delicious, and touched by history.

We sell a ton of Ercole Barbera in the 1L bottles, they also have a white and a rose and they’re pretty cheap. How about Franco Sera wines? Their Barbera and Dolchetto are great for cheap.

TPG and Rosenthal represented well. Love both those books. You sir are doing the lords work.

Dude! (Or dudette!) You can tell a lot of thought went into these selections. If you guys are primarily a grocery store, this is a wonderful selection of Italian wine. You’ve done a good job catering to both ends of the budget. And an extra point for cleanliness and quantity of stock!
Now… let me see your French section 👁️👄👁️

Former SF fine dining Italian wine director here and you did great! Great picks in Sicily with Ayunta and Calabretta, and GREAT representation in Val d’Aosta with the Enfer and Grosjean! Vietti Perbacco has great QPR! I’m a sucker for Abruzzo and I’d recommend the wines of Cristiana Tiberio, Cirelli, and De Fermo to start! Bravo!

I’d buy all the Soave and No Name Barolo!

Very impressive!
Big love for the stoan. Cantina tramin is one of my all-time favourite producers. Same goes for borgogno, vajra and vietti.

Vallana is a great producer, very undervalued. I’d go for a couple of the 2017 Boca

I’ve never had that Brancaia, so I would definitely go for that. Great selection!
