Spaghetti alla puttanesca with an unexpected twist.

All the usual suspects are present for puttanesca sauce – anchovies, olives, capers, chilli flakes, garlic and parsley – but the Asian in me decided to break the authenticity rule by adding an extra kick – fermented soy bean chilli crisp.

I gifted a bottle of this magical condiment to a friend from Naples, and he was putting it on everything his wife cooked, including seafood dishes. Needless to say, I have been banned from his household. 😅
