    This is a homemade cottage cheese recipe from my Romanian great-grandmother. We’ve been making it the same way for generations.

    4 liters (1 gallon) of milk
    4 tbsp yogurt

    1. Heat milk until warm.
    2. Stir in yogurt and leave at room temperature for 12-24 hours.
    3. Once curds form, heat it gently to separate whey.
    4. Strain, drain, and enjoy.

    I store it in the fridge or freeze extra batches. Does anyone else make their own? Would love to hear your process.
