  1. Gotta tell you, as an Italian, the chasm between terrible tomato sauce and good tomato sauce is DEEP.

  2. 2 minutes in and I’m already loving this! Especially the reference to the origin of Zhajiangmian from Shandong. That’s where I’m from, and noodles are such a staple in our diet. I think 鲁菜 (lu-cai), which is the regional cuisine of Shandong province deserves more recognition!

  3. I find it fascinating that almost everywhere the popular noodle dishes came from Italian migration plus local produce! Makes the Asian noodle really standout too!

  4. Spag Bol, also known as "Bolognese", is pretty much the first recipe Australian kids learn to make. Most involve veggies, usually onion, carrot and celery or sometimes zucchini. As you discovered, it's the BEST 🤩

  5. I would love to see your take on Grain Porridges from around the world. In world building they talk about the staple grain, and the bread product made from it, but theres often a porridge too. Im thinking like Southern Grits, African Seswaa, Pap, or Morogo, maybe even Congee?

  6. How the hell do you even know the existence of the Adelaide 36ers, most Australians don't even know who they are
