Château Latour Pauillac de Latour 2018 by j_p_golden 2 Comments j_p_golden 7 months ago Had the 2018 Pauillac de Latour, which is the third-class wine of Château Latour, some time ago.In my humble opinion, the bottle overdelivered (if we exclude the restaurant’s markup haha).Upon opening, you can smell fresh fruity notes that I can only define as blackberries and a strong presence of cassis, but also some oakiness.Letting the bottle aerate for some time brought out more delicate, “fresh” notes of cherries and what I can describe as licorice (?).I would say it’s a great bottle for a third-class wine, and I will definitely consider buying a few for myself at home.Cheers!Edit: Take all tasting notes with a grain of salt, as I am far from having a proper “pallet”. 😀 NovolineHook 7 months ago Thanks for the notes, added this one to my list of wines I need for my cellar!Write A CommentYou must be logged in to post a comment.
