Recipe was kind of a wing it but here it is:

Pork ribs, cut in half
Flip over and Peel membrane off the back of both

Make pork rub with paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and brown sugar bourbon seasoning, and a bit of regular brown sugar

Generously coat the two rib halves in the rub

Take your preferred bbq sauce and add a little layer to the bottom of the crockpot, then add your first set of ribs, cover that with bbq sauce and add your second layer of ribs, and cover that entirely with bbq sauce, I just used the rest of the bottle. My preferred bbq sauce was bullseye Guinness bbq sauce.

Cook on low for 8 hours or high for 4-6, while it’s cooking occasionally I liked to take a spoon and baste the top rack of ribs with the sauce from the bottom of the crockpot. When it’s done it’s fall off the bone, had a hard time getting it out of the pot without it falling apart

Wow, that looks amazing! I love slow cooker ribs. Sometimes if I can get them out and they stay together I’ll slip them under the broiler for a couple minutes to crisp up the tops. …. Well I guess I know what I’m picking up at the grocery store today for supper this week!

  3. Any leftovers send them my way lol looks really good 👌🏽

  4. I prefer 6 hours on low so you can still take them out without them falling apart immediately. After I take them out of the slowcooker i put them on an oven tray and broil them for a few minutes the get some crisp to the outside. Only make them more delicious.

  5. I like the lighting, it’s like a shot from a noir thriller. Ribs… with a side of murder! And potatoes.

Please explain to a non cooker, why the rub if it is covered in and cooked in BBQ sauce? Wouldn’t the sauce cover up the taste of the rub?
