Have you guys heard of 2WayCup? It was created by professional barista and roaster co founder Gary Au.

The owner of the coffeeshop i work at took a trip to Australia and came back raving about this cup and bought a handful for our shop that we now serve all of our pour overs in by default.

The cup has 2 different lips, one side is straight and one side is flared, depending on which side you drink from the coffee tastes different. Like significantly different, it’s like having two different coffees in one cup.

From their website site:
“How to works: Our concept revolves around delivering the drink to different parts of your tongue, resulting in diverse drinking experiences. A narrower rim directs the drink to the front and middle of your tongue, yielding sweeter and more intense flavors with a heavier body. Meanwhile, the flared rim directs the drink to the rear of your tongue, spreading it wider, enhancing aroma, floral notes, and prolonging the aftertaste with a silkier body.”

This cup has single handedly change the way i view the complexities of coffee notes and flavors. I was wondering if any of you have experienced this cup and what your thoughts are? I find the flared side to significantly more acidic.
