Coffee and maple panettone recipe by what shall i cook

Ingredients:
• 4 cups (500g) all-purpose flour
• 1/2 cup (100g) granulated sugar
• 2 tsp active dry yeast
• 1/2 cup (120ml) warm milk
• 1/2 cup (120ml) brewed strong coffee, cooled
• 4 large eggs
• 1/2 cup (115g) unsalted butter, softened
• 1/4 cup (60ml) maple syrup
• 1 tsp vanilla extract
• 1/2 tsp salt
• 1 cup (150g) dried fruit (e.g., raisins, cranberries)
• 1/2 cup (75g) chopped nuts (e.g., walnuts, almonds)
• Zest of 1 orange

Instructions:
1. Prepare the dough:
1. In a small bowl, dissolve the yeast in warm milk and let it sit for about 5 minutes until frothy.
2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, and salt.
3. Add the yeast mixture, brewed coffee, softened butter, maple syrup, eggs, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients.
4. Mix the dough until it comes together, then knead it on a lightly floured surface for about 10 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic.
5. Shape the dough into a ball, place it in a greased bowl, cover with plastic wrap, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1-2 hours, or until doubled in size.
2. Incorporate the mix-ins:
1. After the dough has risen, punch it down to release any air bubbles.
2. Add the dried fruit, chopped nuts, and orange zest to the dough and gently knead until evenly distributed.
3. Shape the panettone:
1. Shape the dough into a round ball and place it in a greased panettone mold or a high-sided baking pan.
2. Cover with a clean kitchen towel and let it rise for another 30-45 minutes, until it is puffy and almost doubled in size.
4. Bake the panettone:
1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
2. Bake the panettone for 30-40 minutes, or until it is golden brown and a skewer inserted into the center comes out clean.
3. Allow the panettone to cool in the mold for a few minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.
Enjoy your coffee and maple panettone! It’s a perfect treat for special occasions or as a delightful breakfast option. ☕
