hi everyone!
ive had a 7 qt digital crockpot (https://www.target.com/p/crock-pot-7qt-one-touch-cook-and-carry-slow-cooker-blue/-/A-86095064) since september and the ceramic insert already broke.
i see replacements online are going for around 50, but i’m thinking about just replacing the whole thing with a manual 7 qt slow cooker or something like the ninja multicooker (https://www.walmart.com/ip/2609465356?sid=182ca00f-8580-4092-852a-717d65a89622) as the slow cooker is in pretty bad shape already, as i am a chronic overfiller and my stews tend to spill over.. so the digital slowcooker has also completely shut off before because of the heat of the liquid that floods out (this has happened multiple times) hitting the screen and so the bigger size might be better for me anyway.
i guess i’m posting just to get a few thoughts— why would the ceramic insert have cracked so early? if you have something like the ninja multicooker, do you like it? if i get the manual crockpot, would liquid overflowing kill the cooking process and cause the device to shut down automatically (if so, how do i know???)? i’m still somewhat of a beginner tho ive done it a few times with the same recipe.. so i’d appreciate some help and guidance here.. thank you so much!
