Not quite carnitas. Just roasted a half a pork butt and Mexican spices in the oven for 16 hours. Shredded it, then reheated under the broiler the next day for tacos and nachos

    I know you pointed out that those are “not quite carnitas”, but that is how carnitas as supposed to look. I’ve been disappointed so often by carnitas that are no more than pulled pork… soft and soggy. You did well.
