Just got this 3 burner LP Genesis. I knew it would be a tight fit but now I'm worried about safety.

Saftey of what? Presumably the propane line? If the grill doesn’t fit into the space perpendicular then remove the side tray and Bob’s your uncle.

I’d be careful, but not scared. They say it needs to be 4 feet from anything, but I’ve literally never followed that rule. I’d say maybe pull it closer to the center of the deck when in use, but honestly it shouldn’t be too risky as long as you don’t have any grease fires or flare ups.

Quicker access to the smoker if you ask me. Wouldn’t worry about fire bud.

I have the same Weber grill with about the same distance to the railing of our deck and never had an issue. Have been doing this for years.
You should be good to go.

10 feet thats the rule. If your grill explodes from a grease fire then I have news for you. Nowhere is safe. Keep it clean and about 10 feet away and youre good

Whenever I have a grill smoker on a wood deck I always put a good sized rubber mat underneath just incase any fire, embers etc drop.

When the Velcro on those straps wears out you can use a bungie cord. You can also bungie cord it to the deck in case of severe wind.

Maybe scoot it out a little bit when grilling but overall, that seems fine. Mine’s up against the deck rail for storage and scooted out a foot or two when cooking. No problems in 20 + years.

Put a chain/lock on it

That looks fine to me. A fire extinguisher located nearby is good insurance though. I have one in my kitchen under the sink in case of any mishaps from the grill or indoors. Never even come close to needing it yet, but still good to have.
