BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) – Hundreds gathered at the Brazos County Expo Complex last Friday for College Station ISD’s 17th annual 50 Men Who Can Cook fundraiser, which brought in more than $300,000 for local schools and the CSISD Education Foundation.
60 amateur cooking teams, including 136 “celebrity chefs” passed out appetizers, soups, desserts, and other treats at their festively decorated booths in competition for top prizes.

“We are profoundly grateful for the hundreds of people that support CSISD through this event – cooks, sponsors, donors, vendors, volunteers, board members and attendees,” said CSISD Education Foundation Executive Director Teresa Benden. “It is a monumental effort, and we are so thankful for the community’s support of our local public schools.”
Proceeds from the event, which totaled at about $315,000, will help fund class projects, student scholarships, books, the Chrissy’s Closet program, and other educational programs at College Station ISD throughout the year.
