Galaktoboureko/Custard pie

This custard pie is so sweet and delicious  melts in your mouth 

1 pack Fillo dough

Recipe is
Syrup
2 cups of water
2 cups sugar
1 cinnamon stick
Zest of lemon
Zest of orange
Peel of orange

Filling
Boil
4 cups of milk
1 cup semolina

Beat
6 eggs
1 cup of sugar
2 tsp vanilla

Melt 2 sticks of butter
100 ml oil

Description;
Boil the syrup first it should be cold after

Boil the milk and Semolina
add the Semolina slowly and mix constantly  till it thickens,

Beat the eggs and add the vanilla and the sugar

Add the eggs to the semolina ,
stir constantly so it doesn’t scramble the eggs 

Brush your pan with the butter mixture
Layer 8 to 9 fillo sheets to the bottom of the pan , brush each sheet with the butter mixture 

Pour all the filling in it

Add the rest of the fillo sheets on the top and brushed each one with the butter mixture 

Cut the ands all around and tuck it in ,or make a crust  around 

Bake on 350° for one hour or till golden brown , depends on your stove

Serve it and enjoy
