Hi Everyone and welcome to another foodie video where i’ll be sharing me and my family ate in a week. These meals are low in calorie and slimming world friendly but good for the whole family.

Ingredients List
Turkey kofte with rice and salad – 320cals, 2 syns

For the koftas
– 1 courgette, grated
– 500g lean minced turkey
– 2 tablespoons each of chopped mint and parsley
– 4 tablespoons fresh wholemeal breadcrumbs
– 1 medium free-range egg
– Zest of 1 unwaxed lemon
– heaped tablespoon zaatar spice mix
– 1 teaspoon garlic granules

For the mint yogurt
– 200g thick natural yogurt (0% fat).
– 1 tablespoon chopped mint
– Juice of 1 lemon
– 1 teaspoon garlic granules

For the tabbouleh
– 260g coooked quinoa
– 1/2 cucumber, deseeded and diced
– 2 large tomatoes, deseeded and diced
– 1/2 red onion, finely diced
– 80g pomegranate seeds
– 2 large handfuls of parsley, roughly chopped
– Juice of 1 lemon

Beef stew – 474 cals – 0 syns

1 onion
2 celery sticks
3 carrots
2 parsnips
Braising steak
2 rich beef stock pots
2 bay leaves
1tbsp garlic puree
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
Fresh thyme
2tbsp tomato puree
300g mushrooms
400ml water

Chicken madras curry – 492 cals – 1 syn

1 onion
2 garlic cloves
2tbsp tomato puree
2tbsp madras curry powder
Tin chopped tomatoes
400ml coconut drink
3 chicken breasts
Rice to serve

Slow cooked beef tagliatelle – – 2 syns for 4 – 520 cals

Lean stewing steak
1 onion
4 garlic cloves
200ml beef stock
300g mushrooms
2tbsp Worcestershire sauce
180g lightest soft cheese
2tbsp Dijon mustard
Tagliatelle to serve

Biryani with veggies Dahl 1 syn

Biryani
2 portion of leftover curry
1 onion sliced
300g cooked rice
Turmeric

Lentil Dahl

low-calorie cooking spray
1 large onion, peeled and finely chopped
3 garlic cloves, peeled and crushed
1 thumb-sized piece of root ginger, peeled and grated
2 tsp garam masala
1 tsp ground coriander
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
1 x 400g tin chopped tomatoes
400ml dairy-free coconut milk alternative
150ml vegetable stock (2 vegetable stock cubes
dissolved in 150ml boiling water)
1 carrot, peeled and grated
250g red lentils
juice of 1 lemon
50g baby spinach

  1. I’ve been in slimming world a month and only lost 4 pounds. Following it religiously but so disappointed with it. I don’t understand why I’m not losing more.

  3. 4 lbs is a good loss. Everyone is different with losing weight. Some people lose more than others. The trouble is with the scales it’s not a true reflection as weight fluctuates and fat loss and weight loss are totally different. You’d need to have 3500 cals over your normal maintenance calories to gain 1 lbs of fat. On the scales it shows fat, water, muscle loss. I have gained 6 lbs in one day after eating food compared to the morning weigh in. It’s not a true reflection. It’s how you feel in your clothes etc. ❤❤❤❤xxxx
