Honestly it’d look ten times better if you didn’t use a serrated knife to cut it.

The only question that matters is did you enjoy it? That’s it. If it tasted great and is cooked to *your* liking, then who cares if it’s ready for a magazine photoshoot?
You can also think about it this way: if you take the tips and tricks you learn from this sub and constantly improve, then every steak you make that improves will be the best steak you’ve ever had that you made

All about the taste homie

All about preference. You have the crust on point imo.
It just looks like you cooked it at a pretty high temp in the bath? What did you set it to? I generally do 131 for my steaks.

Looks good to me.

Granted, I’m typing with a tinfoil beanie on, but am I the only one concerned with those heavily worn plates? Isn’t it safe to assume that the material removed from the plate is being introduced into the food being eaten or directly into the body? I’m open to any insights.

Takes time, Testing, and nothing is perfect.

I’d eat it.

Buy some real plates before you buy your next steak. A nice 20 pack is like $25 at tjmaxx. Or you can get glass plates from the dollar tree.

I must be cooking dog food then cuz yours looks better than mine. Nice work, I’d enjoy that!

Don’t hate yours. It takes some practice to get perfection. I’m sure it was delicious.
