Home Cooking Session: Tzatziki Meatballs

🍽️ Recipe
Juicy, herby meatballs served with a creamy, garlicky tzatziki sauce—perfect for a fresh and flavorful meal!
🛒 Ingredients:
For the Meatballs:
1 lb ground turkey (or chicken/beef)
¼ cup breadcrumbs (GF if needed)
¼ cup grated Parmesan
1 egg
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
1 tbsp fresh dill, chopped (or 1 tsp dried)
½ tsp salt, ¼ tsp black pepper
¼ tsp ground cumin (optional)
1 tbsp olive oil (for cooking)
For the Tzatziki Sauce:
1 cup Greek yogurt
½ cucumber, grated (excess moisture removed)
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tbsp fresh dill, chopped
1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
1 tbsp olive oil
Salt & pepper to taste
🔪 Instructions:
1️⃣ Make the Meatballs: Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). In a bowl, mix ground meat, breadcrumbs, Parmesan, egg, garlic, parsley, dill, salt, pepper, and cumin. Shape into 1-inch meatballs.
2️⃣ Cook: Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and brown the meatballs for 2-3 minutes per side. Transfer to a baking sheet and bake for 12-15 minutes or until cooked through (165°F/75°C internal temp).
3️⃣ Tzatziki Sauce: Mix Greek yogurt, grated cucumber, garlic, dill, lemon juice, olive oil, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Adjust seasoning as needed.
4️⃣ Serve & Enjoy: Drizzle tzatziki over the meatballs or serve on the side. Pair with salad, pita, or roasted veggies for a complete meal!
