First time eating here. Everything was pretty good, especially the drinks, but i found a hair in the salad AND the pasta! Two separate dishes! They offered us free cookies as a consolation, but to be honest I was a little wary at that point. Still, I guess it was cool to experience once.

I gotta get back for some drinks, been a minute. Damn!! I’d agree, with age I’ve gotten better at being like “okay, *a* hair, no need for a fuss,” especially as someone with long hair…BUT – two, in two separate dishes, definitely would have had me not so happy.

The plating leaves much to be desired. Rule of thirds, maybe? Set those anchovies to the side and align them elegantly. This is so haphazard! And that spaghetti…a piece of parsley would break the bank – really?
The cookies had pubes

I’ve eaten breakfast/brunch here, the food is good. Standard stuff. They also had it written on the menus to not photograph the food, iirc.
Maybe this is the reason they have a no camera rule

NGL I’d be super disappointed if I was paying $30 for a pasta dish for it to come out looking like that and THEN I found a hair in it?? If I found I hair in it AFTER I’d already found one in another course?? I’d be fuming. Especially at an establishment with that kind of reputation. I simply wouldn’t pay.

It would have never occurred to me to eat there. The pics do not change my mind lol. Only ever got drinks there

I’m a staunch defender of old-school LA, but this food looks so ugly and unappealing.
