Thanks to you I just had to google “does ban come from banish”. No, if you were curious, but they come from the same root word, the proto-Germanic word bannan. Though apparently ban came through old english while banish came through french

if it helps, i think its a perfect fit here because half the time a lot of the fodo on this subreddit is stuff that doesn’t *look* the greatest, but i would probably just eat for lunch or whatever. This plate included. not every meal has to be a 5 star masterpiece
