Thanksgiving dinners can be an expensive and time-consuming task to accomplish for one day.

Regardless of one’s situation, multiple organizations in the Fox Cities plan to give out Thanksgiving meals throughout the holiday week.

Here is a list of area organizations doing just that, and where to find them.

Chico’s Cafe, 427 S. Washington St., Combined Locks

Traditional Thanksgiving meals are given out at Chico’s every year, on Thanksgiving. This year, you can get a meal from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the restaurant. Any contributions made by patrons will benefit area veterans, according to the cafe’s Facebook event.

Emmanuel United Methodist Church, 740 E. College Ave., Appleton

A week before Thanksgiving, Emmanuel United Methodist Church will give away Thanksgiving meals on Wednesday, Nov. 20, starting at 5:30 p.m.

Faith Ministry Center’s Fellowship Hall, 601 E. Glendale Ave., Appleton

Faith Lutheran will host a Thanksgiving dinner at 5 p.m. on Nov. 27. The church asks those who are interested to sign up on the church website so they can plan accordingly. Guests are also asked, if they are able to, to bring a dish to share, as main courses will be provided.

Thanksgiving worship will also take place afterwards, at 6:30 p.m.

Peace Lutheran Church, 1228 S. Park Ave., Neenah

Traditional Thanksgiving meals will be served at Peace Lutheran Church from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Thanksgiving.

The Hawk’s Nest, 621 W. Main St., Little Chute

Veterans and their family are invited to partake in a traditional thanksgiving dinners starting at 2 p.m. on Thanksgiving day.
