Part two will be out Tuesday!
For each ingredient below remember to use dried or dehydrated if it will be going into the jar to be stored long term even if I didn’t notate it in the recipe.
Hearty soup – a little bit of everything
1 cup dried peas
1 cup lentils
1/2 cup barley
2 tablespoons beef bouillon
3 tablespoons dried onion
2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
1/4 cup rice
2 bay leaves
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1 teaspoon minced garlic
1/2 cup ditalini pasta
Remove pasta and add contents to crock pot with 1 lb of precooked ground beef, 1 – 14.5 oz can diced tomato, 15 oz. tomato sauce, 3 quarts of water or broth. Let go on ow all day. The last hour add the pasta into the mix. Remove bay leaf and serve.
Pasta Faggioli
1 cup shell pasta in a bag
3/4 cup pinto
3/4 cup cannellini beans
3/4 cup great northern or navy beans
1/4 cup dried carrot
2 tablespoons celery
2 tablespoons dried parsley
1/3 cup dried onion
1 teaspoon dried basil, oregano and rosemary
1/2 teaspoons garlic powder, red pepper flakes and black pepper
3 tablespoons chicken bouillon
to make add contents of jar to a crockpot with 8 cups of water and 1-28 oz. can of diced tomatoes. Cook 8-10 hours until beans are done. Add pasta the last hour.
Chicken Noodle soup
2 cups egg noodles
1/4 cup each dried carrot, celery and onion
1 tablespoon parsley
3 tablespoons bouillon
1 teaspoon dried thyme leaves
1/2 teaspoons garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
to make – into a pot on the stove add 2 cups cooked chicken, contents of jar, 8 cups of water. Cook 20-25 minutes until everything is soft.
Sausage Lentil
1 1/2 cup lentils. I like to mix 2 or 3 colors
1/4 cup carrot
1/2 cup rice
1 tablespoon onion
1 tablespoon celery
2 tablespoons leek
1 teaspoons paprika
1/2 teaspoon each basil and oregano
3 tablespoons beef bouillon
to make add the contents of the jar into crock pot along with 1 lb browned italian sausage ground or links cut into rings, 29 oz can diced tomato, 10-12 cups water and cook all day on low.
Potato leek
1 cup dehydrated diced potato
1/2 cup dehydrated leek
2 tablespoons celery
2 tablespoon onion
1 tablespoons shallot
1/2 teaspoons dill
1/4 teaspoons thyme
2 bay leaves
2 tablespoons chicken bouillon
dump contents of jar into crockpot along with 6-8 cups water. We like to add 2-3 gold or red potatoes diced up to the pot but you don’t have too. Cook on low all day. Right before you serve add 1 cup of heavy cream and stir well.
For all recipes you can do a pot on the stove instead of a crockpot and cook on medium for 1- 1.5 hours until ingredients are done. Add pasta the last 30 minutes if you do stovetop.

I love these meals in jars videos!
N.223 👍loved the video 📷📸 👋👏👏👏👏
Thank you for the recipes ! Yummy yummy!
I love my Septre! Looking forward to part 2. I Caramelize my onions using the crockpot
These all look good. Going to try and few soon
I'm wondering if you can tell me the difference between the difference of the colors of the lentil. I have always been curious. Thanks
I have used small fabric drawstring bags instead of the plastic. Works great and I don't spill all over the counter
Tell him that’s in Italy 🤣😂 so you are correct ✅
Always practical…love your channel! 😊
I love your content. You are starting to batch in higher numbers which is often a dispense out of a lot of backlog on a fast growing channel trying to feed a long list f what they feel is a « must do now ». It’s OK to batch out in 3 at a time and disperse in future videos while you are busy working n things in the background. Which we know you are doing. Pace yourself, save a backlog for when you just can’t. Tfs.
lol on smashing the pasta in the jar !! They all look good and I love how easy they sound to put together..
Such a great idea….i love making soups in the cooler weather but sometimes you don’t have time or don’t feel well…this would be so easy to have in the pantry for a pick soup…thanks Ali!
When you said Italian I heard Shawn yell, Sicilian, lolololol . I will definitely be making the bean and chicken noodle. Can’t wait for part two. Sending this video to my sister.
"No disassemble Number Five!"
I love soups!! Thanks!!❤
Nanna
Love the soups and I love creating meals in a jar❤ And Short Circuit is one of mt favorite movies🤖. So many great lines! The Indian guy is so funny😂
I love your videos…great job
I’m so glad you used DEHYDRATED vegetables instead of FREEZE DRIED! It’s so hard these days because so many influencers only show freeze dried items and freeze driers are so expensive and a lot of us don’t have a freeze drier! THANK YOU!!!
"Stephanie, No Disassemble Number 5", a great move to watch while eating a bowl of homemade soup!!
Love the soup jars!!
I love these recipes, Ali! I'm sure freeze dried and dehydrated are pretty interchangable since I have some of each form. I like the idea of making these up ahead of time WHEN you have time for those busy days when you don't. These all sound delicious. Can't wait for part 2! Thanks again. ❤❤❤
Did you know that those dehydrated food out on the counter is rehydrating as you are doing this video. I don't mean to tell what to do but they should all be in jars till you use them. I love everything you do so please I hope I did not offend you by saying this
You have given me ideas for some soups I have never tried. I am looking forward to trying them all.
The peas..are they split peas? and the rice…is that instant rice or long gain? and the beans, are they instant or just plain dry beans? Thanks for these, I give these soups as gifts to those under the weather or returning from hospital stays or just not financially able to get groceries for a short time.
Re the beans: do you do fast dehydrated beans or just beans that haven’t been soaked?
Me again, do you have video on making your own bouillon?
OMGosh!! These all sound delicious…and a great addition to the pantry. Thanks, Allie. Blessings! 🥰🥰🥰🥰
Onions dehydrating doesn’t bother me or garlic
QUICK QUESTION: any idea how long for the instant pot? I know dehydrated foods need 20 minutes to rehydrate and dried beans vary 20-40 mins in the IP. Pasta are 0-2 mins high pressure.
35-45 minutes..? Also, how many full meal servings does it make? Served with fresh homemade bread of course! ❤
And the herbs are used throughout Italy not just Sicily! Step & in law family from north & south!
Hey Sister 👋🏻 These are great 😊 Have a great day ❤🙏🏻❤️
I had a kid who lived here…. 😂😂😂
My son was a very picky eater. Drove me nuts. Fast forward: He eats anything, now and has published cookbooks. Who knew? If you’d told me this years ago, I would have said you’re nuts.
I use brown lentils and 3 cheeses for my vegetarian lasagne recipe. Crush most of the lentils after cooking, not all of them before layering up.
A coffee filter or a piece of fabric would work for holding the pasta. Bonus: its reusable. 👍
Thank you so much !
Great job Ali! These are wonderful to have on hand ❤
Do you dehydrate the lentil and beans?
On the red pepper flakes there are some of us that it's not the heat of the pepper that we can't have the red pepper flakes. It's the The capsation oils of the peppers that causes issues I'm one of those who's allergic to it so I have to do every recipe where I leave that out. Also my husband makes a chili for me because I can't have any capsation or I will swell up he uses Rosemary and oregano to make a sweet chili he never adds sugar to it but he does use chili powder but he uses very limited chili powder The oregano and rosemary or what make the chili good and it's not hot
Thank you for using dehydrated food I love dehydrating I have three dehydrators! I can’t afford a freeze dryer so I get tired of watching videos that say dehydrated, but the food was really freeze dried.
Anyway to print your recipes?
I would love to have them in hand
Do you then can these? Or just store them as is?
Enjoyed the variety of soups you put together.
I couldn’t tell in the video, what size jars are you using?
Quart or 1/2 gallon?
Thank you
I love these soups. My hubby prefers casseroles or meat with just side dishes. Makes me so sad because I love soup. A lot of time I can get away with making the soup very thick and calling it a stew. So if you have more of these very cool ideas I'd love to hear about more "Stews" ha ha. Thanks for doing all that you do.
Hi Ali do you have a recipe for brioche bread/buns you could share?
I think you meant to say shallots in recipe number 5 instead of scallions. Either would be great though I bet
Fun recipes! I like how you keep it real. The only thing I'd alter is to presoak and cook the beans and dehydrate them before putting in the jars. They need that process before use. Also has the added bonus that they cook up in 10 minutes or so when you cook the soup.
These look amazing so guess what I'm doing today as it's a snow day here..cant wait to try all of these..thanku for ur great ideas..have a great week..❤❤
Hello,lo e the video, question, my dehydrated veggies seem to be really chewy, is that normal?
That is after cooking
