  1. i really like a green hot sauce on tacos and have been using heartbeat’s dill pickle serrano a lot for that lately

    J’s small batch OG
    Paulman Acre Mexicali

    I can’t live without them

I’m a big fan of roasted tomatillo, chile de árbol, and a creamy taqueria-style Serrano salsa for tacos.

I mean, if you’re going crunchy ground beef/chicken tacos like this then honestly Taco Bell sauces. They were literally made in a lab to go perfectly with this style and they hit the mark.

Any other more authentic style taco is a different story and far too dependent on personal preference to give any real answer

Torchbearer Garlic Reaper is the one I keep going back to for tacos. That or my own homemade sauce that also has lots of garlic and reapers.

  6. TheOneFingerSalute

Jersey Barnfire Smoked Ghost Taco and the Torchbearer Reaper Garlic for sure.

  7. DrDWilder

The red salsa from Chipotle. Hate if you which, that shit smacks.

  8. Why isn’t Tapatio at the top of this list? Classic for a reason. Better than vinegar based hot sauces everyday.

I usually like habanero based sauces for every Mexican food

  10. Monstera-big

Well, I still love the classic Thabasco. Fermented 3 years on barrols give some nice taste

  11. I had to scroll down WAY too far to get to Tapatio.

Pure beauty, I will need the strongest chilli oil

Looks like Nance went wild on the ethnic food aisle at the grocery store.

Taco Cat from Flavor & Fire – it’s basically “what if Cholula was turned up to medium”

I hope thats an AI image. Otherwise my condolences to whoever had to eat those soggy hard shells.

No one giving Valentina’s any love? For shame.

Taco Vibes Only from Butterfly Bakery of Vermont.

The best taco sauce there is. Seriously.

Dave’s Hurtin Habanero is my favorite for tacos if I’m not using one of my homemade sauces.

I use Melinda’s creamy ghost pepper on tacos. I love Tabasco, but it’s the wrong flavor profile. I’ve only just tried a Marie Sharp’s habenero, and I’d definitely do that. Not too sweet, like most habenero sauces are. I like it a lot.

I just had Taco Bell yesterday for lunch, and no longer grab packets of sauce when I go, because I keep a nice selection of sauces at work.

My chalupa had half Pepper North Black Cherry & Reaper, and half Palo Alto Firefighters Habanero.

The crunchy taco was loaded up with Outer Limits Ghost Pepper & Roasted Garlic (That was spicy).

The fiesta potatoes just got doused in Queen Majesty Red Habanero and Coffee.

Mild: Heartbeat Salsa Verde, Korn Here To Slay, Seed Ranch Everything But The Taco

Medium: Cantina Royal Tamaulipeka, Heartbreaking Dawn’s 1542, Dawson’s Big Smoke Chipotle

Hot: Culley’s Brutality, High Desert Ghost of Saffron Hotter, High River Thunder Juice

Honestly, Trader Joe’s Habanero Hot Sauce is poppin’ on Mexican food

  23. I never see anyone talk about SoCal, but their hot green is pretty dang good.

  24. I make a cilantro lime crema with fresh serranos that is bomb.

  25. rawmeatprophet

Pace Picante is a real kick in the pants.

  26. Chicken-picante

I really like habanero for tacos. There are a couple of local places that make really good hab sauce. I think the best was made an old friend’s mom.

For tacos I prefer homemade salsa, roasted green tomatoes, habaneros, onion, garlic, salt and cilantro. The green tomatoes give an almost citrusy taste and you can choose your heat to your liking with the peppers.

There is a salsa that I believe is popular in the Yucatán area of Mexico that is made with chopped red onion, chopped habanero pepper, minced garlic, salt, pepper, oregano and vinegar. It is phenomenal on tacos. It’s like a pickled salsa. Highly recommend it!
