Rick has the best recipe for a browned butter chocolate chip cookie. It’s an involved recipe, but soooo good!
A funny story from when I was getting old enough to handle things like whipping cream. My mother and grandmother were making the big Sunday meal, and I was asked to whip the cream. Well, I made butter! For whatever reason, my grandmother had another pint in the fridge. Long story short—I made butter again! This was in the ‘60s, when grocery stores, at least where I lived in the South, weren’t open on Sunday. It was quite a bit before I was asked to whip the cream again, because no one was happy eating their pie without whipped cream!!
