Recipe: Red Beetroot Pasta from scratch
In today’s video, we will make delicious and vibrant Beetroot Pasta that will add a pop of color to your meals and boost the nutritional value of every dish. Recipe:
500 g flour
5 eggs
1 tsp. salt
10 g beetroot powder

Pasta dough:
For a simple pasta dough, you need 100 g flour, 1 large egg and some salt for one person. The recipe above is for about 5 portions! First, pour the flour onto a clean surface or a bowl and make a well in the middle. Crack the eggs into the well and add the salt. Slowly mix the eggs into the flour, stirring in more flour from the sides, until a dough forms. Knead the dough for about 5-10 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic. Wrap it in cling film and let it rest for at least 30 minutes before rolling it out (or using a pasta machine if you have one) and shaping it into the desired pasta shapes.

Cook until it is a little bit harder than you would like, so the pasta can absorb whichever pasta sauce you choose. When your sauce is ready, your pasta will be softer as it absorbs all the juices from the sauce. Always keep more pasta water than you think you will need. Add some if your pasta becomes too dry.
