If you haven’t, I recommend you try Meijer sushi. It’s better. Bigger pieces of fish, rice is better, and rolls are just superior (imo)

What Kroger did you go to? Looks good! We have Kroger sushi here in Cinci that is amazing, you just have to go to the right krogers!

You don’t need to preheat it on the stove. It’s supposed to be raw. Or, you really don’t trust Kroger after all

Don’t have a Kroger where I live but the foodlion has a sushi chef and it all always looks good. I’m new to sushi; so far I’ve only tried “cooked” sushi from my foodlion.
