    I abandoned an old (non Weber) kettle at a friend’s place & they used it for years as a firepit. Marshmallows etc

    You could buy a solo stove bonfire and use that on top of it to act as a heat deflector.

    I was going to ask if you we’re local and if I could have it because it would be perfect for what I’m trying to build but I see that guy ” friendly childhood” just comment about how he desperately needs a replacement for his bottom, and if needs it he’s more deserving. Although it’s the exact same model and color as the one I just bought this summer for a lot of money. I was thinking about making a smoker from parts and this would be perfect for the bottom of it if nobody else needs it from you
