5 1/2 cups flour
1tsp baking soda
1tsp cream of tartar
2tsp salt

4 sticks salted butter
1.5 cups brown sugar
1.5 cups granulated sugar
4 large eggs
2tbsp vanilla
semi-sweet and milk chocolate chips

cream together butter, sugars, and vanilla until creamy. add eggs one at a time until mixed.

add dry ingredients little by little until combined.

add chocolate chips. bake at 350 for 10 minutes.

    Just a heads up to UK people, the rising agents are just baking powder here. You don’t need to buy CoT… unless you need them for meringue etc 🙂

  4. Wonder if anyone can tell me what would make them more crispy than chewy? Would adding more baking time do it? These look divine but I do like my cookies on the crispier side.

    may i ask what is the purpose for adding cream of tartar in this recipe? ive never seen a recipe used such a large quantity of it… and was wondering what it does it do for this cookie? looks fabulous though
