it smells strong, but not in any way bad. we're not very familiar with korean food.

    Assuming that’s kimchi and it’s been refrigerated, it should still be good. That being said, kimchi gets more sour the longer it sits to the point that it’s not very good for regular eating. There’s soup (kimchi-jjigae) that uses sour kimchi but that doesn’t look like nearly enough and to be blunt, it’s an acquired taste that you either love or hate it.

    All things, I’d probably toss it just because it’s probably not very good eats just straight and you don’t seem to have enough to make a recipe.
