Garlic Butter Shrimp Pasta Recipe

Ingredients:
8 oz (225g) spaghetti (or pasta of choice)
1/2 lb (225g) shrimp, peeled & deveined
4 cloves garlic
2 tbsp unsalted butter
1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional, for spice)
1/2 tsp salt (adjust to taste)
1/4 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp lemon zest (optional, for brightness)
1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
Instructions:
1️⃣ Cook the Pasta:
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente.
Reserve ½ cup of pasta water, then drain and set aside.
2️⃣ Cook the Shrimp:
In a large pan over medium heat, add olive oil and 1 tbsp butter.
Add shrimp, season with salt and pepper, and cook for 1-2 minutes per side until pink.
Remove shrimp from the pan and set aside.
3️⃣ Make the Garlic Butter Sauce:
In the same pan, melt the remaining 1 tbsp butter.
Add garlic and red pepper flakes, sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
4️⃣ Combine Everything:
Return the shrimp to the pan.
Add drained pasta, lemon zest, lemon juice, and Parmesan.
Toss everything together, adding reserved pasta water a little at a time until the sauce coats the pasta.
5️⃣ Garnish & Serve:
Sprinkle with fresh parsley and extra Parmesan.
Serve immediately with a side of garlic bread or a fresh salad!
