Dozens and dozens of comments yesterday on my post about fast food addiction. Needless to say, I am totally blown away by the love and care you all have shown me. A bunch of strangers on the Internet, offering advice and recipes and check-in on my mental health.

You all are just amazing. I woke up today feeling as invigorated as ever to go a day without eating trash! “I have free will, I don’t need that salty sugary addictive profit driven poison.” I was telling myself.

I went to the grocery store and got everything I needed for a ChatGPT recipe of basic chili. I added tons of diced mushrooms and spinach to a base of black beans and crushed tomatoes. I absolutely destroyed my two servings, and have two whole bowls in the fridge for tomorrow and the following day!

I did have a Dr Pepper, but I believe in baby steps.

Your chili suggestion was so good! The advice I loved the most is to make food I enjoy reheated. I’m really looking forward to tomorrow’s chili serving.

A PB&J tonight before I go to bed, and I think I’ll be good for today. So far my belly is happy and full on food I know is good for me.

Thank you all so much. I feel seen and loved. <3

    Hmmm looks so good

When you get tired of chili, you can try making Asian food. I Make a really good pork rib potato that takes a few hours but reheats well for the whole week
