Guys,I seriously thought my eyes were playing tricks on them. I was dispatched to work on a large deck oven that was installed by another company yesterday under the pretense that it may be under warranty. They install a company replacing safety valve and the thermocouple. Sometimes I can get it white, but it would always stay lit for 10 or 15 minutes and then it will go out.
As I got closer to the unit, I can tell that something was terribly wrong with it kind of like a picture that is generated by AI. It looks good but almost too good like there’s something that makes it to where your eyes know it’s not real. That was the case with this oven. Some company took the unit apart, painted it, and they wrapped it with new sheet metal. They even polished the emblem and then hand painted the red color in it lol I will save you all the boring details but we will just say it is rigged up and I had to quote replacing the safety valve pilot assembly thermocouple, and gas tubing that goes from the safety valve to the pilot assembly. The unit had a gas leak too
Oh, and by the way, this place makes the biggest pizza I’ve ever seen in my life. It’s like 22 to 24 inches in diameter. Yummy for my tummy!

The kitchen I work in currently uses a blodgett, it’s definitely rough around the edges, took forever to get working, but damn does it crank out some solid pizzas.
I was like *well maybe it’s just cosmetic* until I saw the birdshit welds on the gas line.
I wouldn’t even work on that, you could get drug into court if someone gets killed due to some failure you didn’t see.
