This is your sign to never give up on your sourdough starter! This here is Eve and no, not the TikTok sourdough starter Eve. She’s actually from scratch made by me. I started her on Christmas Eve and she just turned two months old. I tried to make my first loaf of bread with her on Saturday, and failed miserably. Severely under proofed and I believe she was a weak starter. I was so close to tossing her and giving up. But something in me told me just try again. So I fed her and yesterday she did her first double and then triple. I have never seen her grow this much. Today I fed her around noon and within 4 1/2 hours this is where she was. I fed her, and she was at the band, and she has more than tripled… this is your sign. Please do not give up. Good things take time!

VICTORY IS MINE. OH, I MEAN YOURS. VICTORY IS YOURS.
How often and how much do you feed the starter?
I love this for you!! I started mine in the midst of a serious cold spell and had almost no activity for like two weeks. I started warming the water I used and setting my jar in a bowl of water that was around 105°-110° right after feeding and it made a world of difference!
I’m struggling with mine again. Between our high altitude and it still being winter(with three more months to go), it’s been slow going ever since it doubled on day 4. Trying to be patient. I need more flour lol
