Planted the exact amount of seeds as plants shown. But now I have two babies tomato plants growing in my planter?

Did you grow tomatoes in it last year? I always get a few randomly from when fruit dropped or was eaten.

They are seeds from last year’s fruit and/or they came on some compost. Tomato seeds can handle virulent conditions.

Your planter appears to be very small and very underfilled with compost for so many plants. Even for one plant if you fill it right up your plant will have more nutrients and you’ll need to water less often.
