7 Foods Of The Bible – Promised Land Salad Recipe
3 cups cooked barley (optional Israeli couscous)
¼ cup dried chopped figs
¼ cup pitted dates chopped
¼ cup halved grapes
¼ cup pomegranate seeds
¼ cup olive oil
2 teaspoons honey
2 teaspoons pomegranate vinegar (optional red wine vinegar)
1 teaspoon honey mustard
¼ cup wheat/barley cereal – crunch style like grape nuts cereal
2 tablespoons parsley
Combine barley, figs, dates, grapes, pomegranate seeds in a large bowl.
This will be more than you thought when you measured out the ¼ cup of each food.
Place oil, honey, vinegar, and mustard in a bowl – whisk together.
Toss the salad with the vinegar dressing to coat. There may be more than you need or you may love a lot of flavor from the dressing.
Add salt and pepper to taste – if you need any.
Just before serving add cereal and toss to distribute.
Garnish with fresh chopped parsley.
Tips – more fruits can be added for additional flavor. I typically use 1 cup pomegranate seeds and ½ cup grapes.
Serve on a bed of bright greens! Enjoy breakfast, lunch or dinner.
Always a treat.
As you serve dishes with foods from the Bible – make it a conversation. God always delivers on His promises. God always provides. And God is amazing Grace.

Barley – Represents strength and humility.
Grapes – Signify joy and blessings.

Pomegranates – Rich in symbolism, often associated with righteousness.
Olive Oil – A gift of anointing and healing.
Honey (Dates) – A natural sweetener representing God’s sweetness and goodness.

Love me some honey mustard yummy yum
I saw that you use seedless grapes. Isn't that a very processed type of fruit? In my opinion, grapes should have seeds or am I wrong?☺️
