Lazy but delicious! This crunchy Turkish manti made with puff pastry is the perfect shortcut when you’re short on time. Crispy, golden, and packed with flavor—sometimes easy just hits different! ✨🍽️
Ingredients:
1/4 lb ground beef
1/2 yellow onion, shredded
1 puff pastry sheet
2 tbsp butter, melted
Spices: salt, paprika, cumin, and black pepper
Yogurt Sauce: 1/2 cup yogurt, 1 clove garlic, minced
Red Sauce:
1 tsp tomato paste
2 tbsp butter
1 tbsp olive oil
1/2 tsp paprika
1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
Toppings: dried mint, sumac, and red pepper flakes
Instructions:
1. Rinse the shredded onion under cold water to remove bitterness, then squeeze out excess moisture.
2. In a bowl, mix the ground beef, onion, and spices until well combined. Set aside.
3. Lightly flour a surface and roll out the puff pastry sheet. Cut it into 11 horizontal and 8 vertical strips to create small squares.
4. Place a small amount of the meat mixture in the center of each square. Pinch the opposite corners together to form a little pouch.
5. Arrange the pouches in an oven-safe baking dish and brush with melted butter.
6. Bake at 350°F for about 30 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
7. While baking, prepare the sauces:
– For the yogurt sauce, mix yogurt with minced garlic.
-For the red sauce, heat butter and olive oil in a pan, add tomato paste, paprika, and red pepper flakes, and cook for 1-2 minutes.
8. Serve the baked manti with the yogurt sauce and drizzle with the red sauce.
9. Garnish with dried mint, sumac, and extra red pepper flakes.
Afiyet olsun😘
