I wish we had an authority in the states that took emotional abuse in the workplace more seriously. Chefs can get absolutely unhinged being the self crowned kings of their tiny fiefdom.
I’ve had a guy call me a motherfucker out of anger 2 hours after the start of my first shift. No, it was not “just a joke”. I quit on him after shift 2 after he told me to hurry the fuck up with his chickens. I don’t need that shit at my shitty job.
