I shipped my nespresso and pods in my nespresso box when I moved a couple weeks ago. Are these pods still usable. The box looked the same. I've used the machine for about a week now. It's fine. But I used one pod this morning and it seemed watery. The ones that were completely flattened i just tossed.

I wasn’t a fan of the sunny almond vanilla anyways. So no love lost there if so. But they’re spendy so I’d prefer to not waste them if they will still work all the same

  2. My rule of thumb is pretty much any damage to the lip = unusable. Dents to the actual dome of the pod seem to work fine.

I didn’t use any pods that were damaged for my vertuo.

If you have a French press not all is lost! I use an OL machine now but my MIL got me the cold brew pods. I wouldn’t make cold brew with hot water anyways but I cut them open and dump into tea bags I have (you could use coffee filters if you have that) and knot tie the top and do one flash of a little hot water and then cold soak and make cold brew and it’s soooo good.

The grounds are still good so there’s ways to use it if you really want to but it just depends on how much effort you want to use!

I suspect you’ll just get barcode errors (maybe why it was watery) and very likely coffee leaking from the faces of the pod and piercer that really won’t seal. The ones with just damage to the dome should work okay. The rim is what matters.

I’d call customer service and they’d probably give you $ off your next purchase or resend your order. I bought a sleeve of the pour over still capsules but then my Vertuo next stopped working before I could use them.

Nespresso sent me a vertuo plus because I was on my 4th vertuo replacement. Anyway, I called customer service and explained what happened and that I have the sleeve of capsules I can’t use (can’t use pour over in plus machine) and they sent me $20 credit.

I think if you can flatten the edges, they might work. I received some with bent edges and dented bottoms and I was able to use them once the edges were flattened. Good luck.

just stick it in a another pod of the same type and then hold down the lid for a decent read. worked for me this morning

I’d just cut them open and pour them into another undamaged pod that you’ve already used and tape the top. I’ve done that a few times (and now I have an actual set up from amazon for refilling my pods)
