These Greek Chicken Gyros with Cucumber Tzatziki are a delicious blend of bold Mediterranean flavours wrapped in warm, fluffy flat bread. Juicy, marinated chicken is perfectly grilled with oregano, garlic, and smoked paprika, then layered with refreshing tzatziki sauce, ripe tomatoes, crisp red onions, and fragrant parsley. The creamy, garlicky cucumber tzatziki adds a cool contrast to the savoury chicken, making each bite irresistibly flavourful. Perfect for a quick, satisfying meal, these homemade gyros bring a taste of Greece straight to your kitchen!

  2. I have a mate whos greek dont they use pork and lamb in their gyros. My kind of food though rik i love greek pork belly

  3. Oh my word, fantastic recipe, I love making the flatbreads and use them in many different dishes especially in place of a naan covered in garlic butter with my favourite curry , thanks as always ๐Ÿ˜Š

  4. Looks absolutely fresh & delicious Rik ๐Ÿ˜, you once again have me positively drooling ๐Ÿคค! Will definitely be trying this in the future ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘Œ. But for now (following my recent plumbing woes), financial belts have had to be severely tightened, so a no frills diet awaits me in the coming weeks๐Ÿซฃ, probably wonโ€™t do my waistline any harm either – so every cloud & all that jazz!๐Ÿ˜œ But in the meantime I will definitely be attempting the instant pot homemade yoghurt & those soft, tasty looking flat breads!๐ŸŒฎ
As always thank you ๐Ÿ™ for sharing & hope youโ€™re enjoying a lovely weekend! xx ๐Ÿ‘จโ€๐Ÿณ๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿ’—

  5. I've got mint. I can do mint.
This is wonderful! ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜‹๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป Looks so much tastier than the ready seasoned giros from the grocery store. And I love baking my own bread.
Cucumber and feta cheese are on the grocery list for tomorrow. Everything else I've already got. Looking forward to it, it's been ages since I ate Greek food. Thanks, chef!!

  6. I LOVE Gyros! Looking forward to making this recipe. FYIโ€ฆ itโ€™s pronounced YEE-roh โค

  7. There is simply nothing more satisfying than starting my day watching Rik in the kitchen. Inspired, as always, and thanks feels inadequate. So much goodness here.

  8. This looks great, and you are using healthy ingredients too. I have had to pass by a lot of your recipes lately as although they are very tempting they do not comply with doctors orders โ€ฆ ๐Ÿ˜

  9. Gyros are an absolutely amazing sandwich (for want of a better word). I prefer lamb but my missus likes chicken, so I'll enjoy making these for her this week. Another winner Rik, hope you're keeping well sir!

  10. You cannot eat Greek food without eating chicken. Fabulous Rik. One for the list. I lived in the London B of Haringey growing up just off Green Lanes. I know about Greek/Turkish food from restaurants and neighboursโค. โค โคfabโคulโคous. I have visitedโค โคtโคheโค โคGreek Islands. โค ๐ŸŽ‰๐ŸŽ‰๐ŸŽ‰

  11. One can truly see that you love what you are doing. Even if it weren't for the fantastic recipies I would still want to watch someone be as invested into their hobby as you are, it is actually really sweet. I hope you have a wonderful weekend, keep it up!
