Allen's is a personal favorite but this was my first time going for steak festival, thanks to /u/osakibeats for the recent post reminder or I probably would've missed it again. Making a reservation last week was a challenge with them being booked solid through to the last night tonight with only a handful of later timeslots available.

I'm not a steakhouse expert but I have been to spots like Harbor 60, Morton's and Hy's once each and this meal ranked on par with the experiences I've had there. Several cuts were already sold out so I went with the Creekmore farms USDA Prime Black Angus striploin cooked to medium and it was very good. They cut striploin to order starting at 10oz for $62 but I don't think they're strict with the size of cuts because tbh this looked and felt like more than 10oz to me. The beef was very high quality and tasty though I personally would've preferred the sear to be a touch more seasoned than it was. Sides were good though I think the portions could be a little more generous for the price. All of this with 2 pints came out to $175 after tax.

Overall it was a very good steak dinner and I'm glad we got to try it but at the same time I wasn't really blown away like I regularly am with their regular menu and especially summer BBQ menu with this being a more safe classic style steak dinne. If you're a steakhouse enthusiast though it's probably worth your time and money and I most likely will return next year to try a tenderloin or ribeye next time.
