Brutal Rouge from Matassa in the year 2022. Blend of Syrah, Grenache Noir and a touch of Muscat. Just 10.5%. First time trying Matassa, because it’s so freaking abundant here in Paris. Stupid, because I loved this.

Super crunchy berry fruit. Fresh blueberries. Acidic touch that leans into rhubarb and grapefruit. Floral lychee from the muscat. Coca Cola Chupa Chups sensation to it. Tiny bit of earthy undertones.

On the palette theres a liquorice finish. But only slightly so. Touch of tannin to give it structure – but doesn’t stand in the way of this wine being highly drinkable. Super energy. `

Drink by itself. Drink with food. Drink now. Drink in a few years. Whatever. This is delicious. Buying some more tonight.

One of the best natural wine producers for my money. Their Tommy Ferriol Syrah/muscat blend is probably my favorite of their wines.

Tom is pretty much the 🐐. If there was ever a total G in the nattiverse, it is he.

His Aged Cote Catalan slaps hard, I thought it was some sort of Brunello.
